There are many great non-profits doing projects to support our troops.   However,
EAGLES NEST FOUNDATION’s focus is to provide materials to active duty, deployed,
families at home, recovering wounded, Gold Star families and veterans which facilitate
growing a more intimate relationship with God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit).  Along the
way, EAGLES NEST seeks to be the love of Christ providing encouragement and
support wherever possible with copies of STAND UP, personal notes, one-on-one prayer
and group prayer.    (Note: EAGLES NEST does not push Christian material on anyone,
but makes known what is available so that those who would benefit may request what
they would like and receive it.)


Recent & Ongoing Projects Include:


FOR RECOVERING WOUNDED WARRIORS
Collected 1700+ handwritten encouraging notes from citizens and shipped to Freedom
Alliance in Virginia to be attached to roses and delivered to patients and their families at
Walter Reed Medical Center on Valentine’s Day 2009.  

Filled and shipped 300 Easter eggs for delivery to patients at Walter Reed Medical
Center on Easter Sunday, 2009.  Each egg contained candy, stickers and Jer. 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not
to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

300+ copies of STAND UP have been delivered to patients at Walter Reed Medical
Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital

30+ copies of STAND UP plus some worship CDs have been personally delivered to
Veterans’ Hospitals in California


GIFTS FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH of the deployed continues.  To date over 750 copies
of STAND UP (and its predecessor version) have been delivered with personal thank
you notes.

GIFTS FOR GOLD STAR FAMILIES
150+ sets of the WALK ON WATER CD (which includes “You Carry Me”, a worship song
composed for and dedicated to our Gold Star families) and STAND UP Cd have been
gifted to Gold Star families in California and across the country.

Copies of gift books , “Grief – Thoughts and Reflections” (Everett) and “The Tree – a
little book of faith and hope” (Fulgaro)


WORSHIP TOOLKITS!!!  
These are integral to fulfillment of the initial vision.  Worship toolkits put worship music
and a Biblical teaching on why worship into the hands of our deployed and military
families struggling with worry and/or difficult circumstances.  If we will learn to live a
worshipful lifestyle, God WILL go before us, He WILL hem us in before and behind, He
WILL be the banner over us and He WILL shine His Light so the enemy is more easily
found.  Worship toolkits help the military, vets and their families learn to worship at all
times, so more of God (His strategy, His power, His protection and His solution) invades
their circumstances!  Worship toolkits include the teaching booklet, “The POWer of
Worship” plus STAND UP and either the ASCEND IN WORSHIP or WALK ON WATER
worship CD.

FOR THE DEPLOYED
200+ copies of STAND UP have been shipped individually and in boxes put together by
troop-support groups to our deployed.  Usually gift wrapped with ribbon and personal
notes of support.

In addition to these tangible items, a special Mother’s Day prayer was written and
distributed to military moms.  A virtual private prayer group has been begun on www.
facebook.com for Marine moms and another for families whose veterans are suffering
the consequences of PTSD and/or TBI.  And for Memorial Day a special poem to honor
our fallen heroes was composed and distributed.

EXFOLIATING WORRY SPIRITUAL SPA RETREATS
for the mothers, wives, girlfriends, grandmothers of the deployed.  A day filled with
worship music, workbooks filled with Scripture and “exercises” to help focus on what God
says to do instead of worry.

FINDING PURPOSE Scripture-Soaking Bible Study
when life has not turned out the way someone had hoped, this study helps the path to
joy and peace be found again, by learning God’s purpose and how we find our true
purpose in God’s. (available as emailable .pdf file to military and/or military family
members)

TIME WITH GOD – WORTH YOUR TIME? Scripture-Soaking Bible Study
to help those who want to know get to know Him well enough to understand WHY He is all
we need and all we want.  (available as emailable .pdf file to military and/or military family
members)

Exfoliating Worry Spiritual Spa Retreats on DVD so more can benefit when I can’t travel
to them

Finding Purpose Scripture-Soaking Bible Study recorded as audio MP3 files so the
listener is constantly feeding on the Bread of Life

Mini Scripture Booklets to provide spiritual “ammo” to our recovering wounded

Dude ranch “Week With Jesus” vacations.  One week for permanently disabled vets &
families.  One week for Gold Star families.  Fresh air, horses, worship, Bible study,
fellowship and time away from it all!

In February 2005 the Lord gave me a vision.  If I would get some of the new worship music
He was having me compose, plus the patriotic song, STAND UP, “over there”, He would
be their covering, He would hem them in before and behind, He would be the banner over
them and shine His Light in the dark places to the enemy was more easily found.  The
past four years in obedience I have developed 3 worship CDs, as well as STAND UP.  
There are Bible studies, retreats, books all which are available for anyone seeking to
draw closer to God but many of which were developed especially with our troops and their
families in mind.  

EAGLES NEST FOUNDATION is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation whose mission is to
sponsor projects which bring comfort and Christ.  Contributions to EAGLES NEST
FOUNDATION are tax-deductible.

EAGLES NEST FOUNDATION was started as a means to finance getting copies of the
worship music and STAND UP “over there” in obedience to the vision.  However, our Lord
has broadened the scope, by opening doors for opportunities to bless our troops and
their families in a myriad of ways.
